Join the Morrin Centre for five exciting events celebrating qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois dance and music traditions, some of which are rooted in English-speaking communities that have long helped shape our province\u2019s cultural landscape. If you are curious, love living heritage activities, or simply want to move and have fun, come experience the energy of traditional dances and the stories behind them with our \u00c8s TRAD<\/a>\u00a0guests!<\/p>\n

On January 28, discover dances from \u00cele d\u2019Orl\u00e9ans with H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Fournier (call), Manon Turcotte (piano), and Lise Turcotte (accordion).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With \u201ccaller\u201d\u00a0H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Fournier<\/strong>, pianist\u00a0Manon Turcotte<\/strong>, and accordionist\u00a0Lise Turcotte,<\/strong>\u00a0you are in for a treat during this workshop on \u00cele d\u2019Orl\u00e9ans dances! Hailing from \u00cele d\u2019Orl\u00e9ans, Manon and Lise gained (some of) their musical talents during the famous dance parties organized by Madame Audet as early as the 1970s.\u00a0 They now carry the music that will make you dance thanks to the help of caller H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Fournier, who teaches dances such as the Lancier, the Cal\u00e9donia, and the Quadrille!<\/p>\n
